J Morrow & Son, is able to undertake all aspects of clock repair & restoration in our own workshop.
When restoring a clock, it is dismantled and ultrasonically cleaned. Parts are made as necessary, and any repairs are carried out. However, all work is done sympathetically and every attempt is made to preserve the original workings of the clock. The clock is then rebuilt, adjusted and fully tested before being returned to the customer.
All replacement parts are made in our own workshop or are made for us by trusted specialists.
As well as clock repair & restoration, we undertake routine servicing of clock mechanisms to make sure that they continue to function well and preserve the life of the clock for years to come.
Other services include :
– Painted and brass longcase clock dial restoration.
– Aneriod barometer repair.
We will estimate the cost of any restoration or repair of a clock or barometer for free, and can advise on all aspects of clock care. For complete assurance to our customers all restoration work is guaranteed.
A collection and delivery / set-up service of your clock is available if required. We will also happily receive and deliver clocks from the UK and abroad by insured courier service for repair or restoration. We have customers from all over Scotland and receive clock repairs from areas such as Glasgow, Paisley, Ayr, Troon, Kilmarnock, Largs, Skelmorlie & Greenock.
